The Board of Directors of Predico Software is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Merritt as CEO and executive member of the Board, effective 4 December 2023.
Don brings a background in oil and gas software including economics, and production forecasting. He has held leadership positions with Merak, Schlumberger and Enersight, bringing two highly successful software startups to the Australian market.
He joins Predico to lead the commercialization of the AFA software package currently focused on reservoir engineering applications. Our vision is extend the AFA framework into the expanding resource universe including mining, hydrogen and carbon sequestration leveraging our competitive advantage in advanced data analytics, machine learning and automation.
At every step Predico seeks to be client driven, participating in collaboration with major resource companies to produce true digital transformation for these companies by uniquely adapting AFA for their internal workflows and methodologies.
The Predico Board also thanks Bruce Marion for his service as Interim CEO during the transition of Predico from an engineering research organization to a full service, agile software product company. Bruce Marion will continue to serve as a non-executive director of Predico.
